This Casades porcelain figurine was made in Spain and depicts a young girl wearing a feathered headband, with one hand raised towards her mouth. Standing approximately 21cm tall, the figure is finished in a glossy palette of pale cream, white, blue and soft grey tones typical of late twentieth-century Spanish decorative porcelain.

The figurine retains two particularly useful identifying features. An original Porcelanas Casades paper label remains attached near the lower front of the skirt, while the underside carries the blue Porcelanas Casades S.A. – Made in Spain maker’s mark. Together, these markings provide strong evidence for the maker and Spanish origin of the piece.

The girl has dark blue-grey hair beneath a pale headband decorated with a blue-tipped feather. Her fitted top and long pale trousers or skirt-like costume are decorated with small blue accents, while additional moulded costume details can be seen from the side and rear. The combination of the pose, feathered headwear and expressive face gives this vintage porcelain girl figurine a particularly distinctive character.

Casades Porcelain Figurine Made in Spain

Porcelanas Casades S.A. was a Spanish porcelain manufacturer associated with Riba-roja de Túria, near Valencia. Historical research records the company under the Porcelanas Casades S.A. name from approximately 1974 until 1993. The exact production year of this individual figure has not been confirmed, so it is more accurate to describe it as a late twentieth-century piece rather than assign a specific date.

Examples of similar Casades figures appear on the collectors’ market under several descriptive names. This design has sometimes been advertised as a “Pirate Girl” or “Little Pirate Girl”. However, no verified factory catalogue name has been established for this particular model, so the listing uses the more accurate descriptive title of a Casades girl figurine with feathered headband rather than presenting a marketplace nickname as an official model name.

The glossy pastel finish and stylised modelling place the figure firmly within the tradition of Valencian decorative porcelain that became popular during the second half of the twentieth century. It would sit naturally alongside other Spanish porcelain figurines, vintage ceramics and character figures.

Vintage Porcelain Girl Figurine with Original Casades Label

One of the strongest features of this example is the surviving original paper label. Adhesive labels are often removed or lost during the life of a decorative figure, so having both the front label and underside mark makes the manufacturer particularly easy to identify.

The figure measures approximately 21cm tall, giving it enough presence to display individually while remaining a practical size for a cabinet, bookshelf, mantel or sideboard. Its restrained blue, cream and grey colouring also makes it easier to display than more brightly coloured decorative ceramics.

Condition and Product Details

Based on the photographs of the actual item, the figurine presents in very good vintage condition. No obvious major chips, cracks or repairs are visible. The feather, hands and other projecting areas appear intact, and the glazed surface remains bright. The original paper label shows normal age-related wear consistent with a vintage piece.

As with any pre-owned ceramic item, minor surface marks, manufacturing variations or light signs of previous handling may be present. Please examine all photographs carefully, particularly the detailed photographs of the label, sides and underside maker’s mark, as they form an important part of the condition description.
