Find UK returns and refunds information for purchases from Hozy Vintage & Antique Finds, including cancellations, return shipping, faulty items and refund handling for our vintage and collectible products.
UK Returns and Refunds
If you are a UK consumer buying online, you normally have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods without giving a reason.
After notifying us that you wish to cancel, the item should normally be returned within a further 14 days. Please contact us before returning an item so we can provide the appropriate return instructions.
Returned items should be sent back in the condition in which they were received. You may inspect an item as you reasonably would in a shop, but an appropriate deduction may be made from the refund if the item has been handled beyond what is necessary and its value has been reduced.
Vintage, Antique & Pre-Owned Items
Many products sold by Hozy Vintage & Antique Finds are vintage, antique, collectible or pre-owned items. Signs of age, patina, wear, marks and minor imperfections may form part of an item’s individual character.
We aim to describe and photograph these details clearly on each product page. A feature that was clearly described or shown before purchase is not treated as a fault simply because the item is old or pre-owned.
Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
If an item arrives faulty, damaged, not as described or is not the item you ordered, please contact us as soon as possible.
UK consumer law provides rights where goods are faulty, not as described or not fit for their intended purpose. Nothing in this UK returns and refunds policy limits your statutory rights.
Please keep the item and its packaging until we have discussed the issue with you. Photographs of the item and packaging may help us understand what happened during delivery.
Return Shipping
For a change-of-mind return, the customer may be responsible for the cost of returning the item where the law allows and where this has been made clear before purchase.
If an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or materially not as described, reasonable return arrangements will be handled in accordance with your consumer rights.
Please use suitable protective packaging when returning vintage, antique or collectible items. Many pieces are unique and may be difficult or impossible to replace if damaged during return shipping.
Refunds
Under our UK returns and refunds process, once a return has been received and checked, we will process any refund due using the original payment method unless another method is agreed where appropriate.
Where a refund is due following cancellation of an online order, it will be processed in accordance with applicable UK consumer law. Where required, the cost of standard delivery will also be refunded. Any additional amount paid for a more expensive delivery option may not be refundable beyond the cost of the standard delivery service offered.
How to Request a Return
Before sending an item back, please contact us through our Contact page and include your order number, the item concerned and the reason for contacting us.
Please do not send an item back without contacting us first, as this may delay identification and processing of your return.
Condition of Returned Items
Because many of our products are vintage, antique, collectible or pre-owned, each item may have individual characteristics that are difficult to replace. When returning an item, please take reasonable care to protect it from damage and use suitable packaging for the journey back to us.
If possible, reuse the original protective packaging supplied with your order. Where that is not practical, please use appropriate padding and a secure outer box or mailing container suitable for the item being returned.
Please avoid attaching labels, tape or writing directly to collectible packaging, presentation boxes, original sleeves, cases or other parts of the item unless necessary for safe return. Damage caused by unsuitable return packaging may affect the condition and value of a unique piece.
Return Communication
Clear communication helps us deal with returns more efficiently. When contacting us, please include your order number and a brief explanation of the issue. If the item has arrived damaged or appears different from the listing, photographs can be useful so we can understand the situation before arranging the next step.
Your Statutory Rights
Our UK returns and refunds policy is intended to explain our process clearly while respecting your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
Nothing in this policy excludes or restricts rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted. If the goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet the standards required by UK consumer law, you may have additional rights to a refund, repair or replacement depending on the circumstances.
